People of Naldanga Upazila formed a human chain demanding removal of Nayan Chandra Pramanik, Principal of Madhnagar Technical and Business Management College, for cheating.

On Friday at around 11:30 am, they organized a human chain and protested under the banner of local Madhnagar union residents at the railway station in front of the college. Earlier on Tuesday, the court sent the principal Nayan Chandra Pramanik to jail in a case of cheating in the name of teacher recruitment.

Madhnagar Union Awami League's organizing secretary Shahidul Islam Acumin, UP member Mostafizur Rahman Rocky, Madhnagar Union Jubo League's organizing secretary Mamun Mridha, joint secretary Saidur Rahman Tuku, Union Chhatra League's former president Shamim Hossain and former general secretary Md Apon spoke at the rally.

The speakers said that Principal Nayan Chandra has embezzled crores of rupees by doing various corruptions including recruitment in the college. A multi-storied building was constructed and rented out in Tebaria of the city. He was demanded to be removed from the post of principal immediately.

Meanwhile, lecturer Mozammel Haque, who filed a case against the principal, claimed that he had paid Tk 20 lakh in cash to the principal twice. His wife Veethika Sarkar was also an assistant teacher in a government primary school and working in this college, when she opened up about the principal's corruption, they both conspired against him (Mozammel Haque).

At the same time, his wife and fellow college teacher Veethika Sarkar held a press conference at a local restaurant in Natore city at 11 am on Friday claiming the innocence of Principal Nayan Chandra Pramanik.
