Houses destroyed by floods to be rebuilt : State Minister Anindya Islam Amit

State Minister for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit announced that the government will rebuild homes rendered uninhabitable by the devastating floods to rehabilitate the affected families.
He said this on Wednesday morning while distributing relief materials among flood-affected families in the Balaghata Ambagan area of Bandarban town.
The State Minister assured that houses which have been completely or partially destroyed by the floods will be reconstructed under government initiatives. He added that the administration would also take steps to permanently relocate families living in vulnerable conditions at the foothills to safer locations, aiming to minimize the loss of lives and property during future natural disasters.
Anindya Islam Amit further emphasized that necessary measures will be taken to reclaim and restore the 'Mexi Khal' (Mexi Canal).
The relief distribution program was also attended by Member of Parliament for the Bandarban-300 constituency Saching Prue Jerry, Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr. Md. Ziauddin, Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Md. Saniul Ferdous, alongside other senior officials from various government departments.
