Hole in base of bridge in Tongibari, accident feared

In the Rautbhog area of Tongibari upazila of Munshiganj, a huge hole has been created due to the collapse of soil at the base of the bridge. The locals are in fear of a major accident at any time. The locals demanded that the broken part be repaired as soon as possible.
On Wednesday (June 11), it was seen that the soil at the base of the bridge had collapsed due to rainwater entering. A huge hole has been created. Almost half of the slope of the bridge has collapsed and collapsed. To avoid accidents, the locals have broken tree branches and buried them in the broken part of the road.
More than 100,000 people from about 50 villages of the upazila, including Dighirpar, Kamarkhara, Kalibari, Vitimaldha, Adabari, Lashkadighirpar, and Lashkadighirpar, use this important road to travel to and from the upazila headquarters. This road had been damaged before, but the authorities repaired it a little, but rainwater entered again and broke the road.
Thousands of vehicles are plying on this road every day, taking risks. Many people believe that a major accident could happen at any time if a car's wheel falls on the broken part.
An auto driver named Siam Hossain said, this road should be repaired very soon. We travel on this road multiple times every day. If the road is not repaired, an accident can happen at any time. Another auto driver said, the situation on this road is such that a car can fall on it at any time, breaking limbs and even killing people.
A local resident named Nur Islam said, due to the broken road, vehicles cannot ply properly. Accidents can happen at any time. Accidents have happened in this place before.
Tongibari Upazila Engineer Shah Moazzem said, we are making arrangements to repair the broken part very soon.
