A significant discussion meeting was held in Magura on Thursday at the Sri Sri Jagannath Temple premises in Sahapara, Magura, to mark the Sri Sri Jagannath Dev's Rath Yatra Festival 2026, organized by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON),

Minister for Cultural Affairs, Adv. Nitai Roy Chowdhury, MP, attended the event as the chief guest and delivered an insightful address.

Presided over by Advaita Das Brahmachari, the esteemed Principal of Sri Sri Jagannath Temple, Sahapara, Magura, the program was attended by Member of Parliament for Magura-1 Constituency Md. Monowar Hossain, Deputy Commissioner Mostakabbir Ahmed, Superintendent of Police Molla Azad Hossain PPM-Seba, and Magura Zila Parishad Administrator Md. Ahmed as special guests. Local dignitaries, members of the Hindu community, and a massive gathering of devotees were also present on the occasion.

In his speech as the chief guest, Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury said, "God is not a resident of some supernatural realm. There is a common perception among us that there is a heaven, earth, and underworld, and that heaven means the gods live hidden away from human eyes in the clouds at the distant horizon of the sky; this is not the case at all. God is present within all human beings. God resides within human actions, lifestyle, and individual ethics and ideals."

Noting that thousands of religions have originated on Earth throughout different eras, he added, "Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains—everyone has their own conception of God. If Gods were separate entities, they would have feuded and fought among themselves over who would become the ruler or king of heaven. But the ultimate truth is that God is one, and He manifests Himself through human welfare and humanity."

Following the discussion, special prayers were offered seeking the happiness, prosperity, and welfare of the country and the nation.
