Body of missing schoolboy recovered from Padma River, mourning in area

The body of Fahad (11), a fifth-grade student who went missing while bathing in the Padma River after playing, has been recovered. After a grueling 13-hour search, a diver team from the Fire Service successfully retrieved his body from the river.
The recovery took place around 8:30 AM on Friday, from a spot near the location of the accident. Fahad was the son of Shahidul Islam from the Kuthipara area and a fifth-grade student at the local Kuthipara Government Primary School.
According to local residents and the Fire Service, the tragic incident occurred on Thursday evening at around 6:30 PM in the Padma River near the Kuthipara Baruipara area of the Godagari municipality. The boy went missing after entering the water to bathe following a game.
Rakibuzzaman Sarkar, Acting Station Officer of the Godagari Fire Service, confirmed the incident. Godagari River Police OC Touhidul Islam stated that the body will be handed over to the family following the completion of legal procedures.
The untimely death of the young student has cast a deep shadow of mourning over the entire area.
