Md. Tarikul Islam, Bhandaria (Pirojpur)

A discussion meeting and a prayer session (Doa Mahfil) were held in Bhandaria, Pirojpur, to observe 'July Martyrs' Day' 2026. The event was organized by the Upazila administration and took place at the Upazila Parishad conference room at 11:00 AM on Thursday.

The program began with a minute of silence observed in memory of the martyrs of the July revolution, followed by a discussion honoring their supreme sacrifices and praying for the salvation of their souls.

Presided over by Bhandaria UNO and Municipal Administrator Md. Hasibul Hasan, the meeting featured tributes from various officials, including Assistant Commissioner (Land) Uzzal Haldar, Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Ratneswar Kumar Mandal, and Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ibrahim Hossain Molla.

Hasina Begum, mother of martyr warrior Emdadul, spoke on behalf of the martyrs' families, while July uprising warrior Rafsan Iyad also shared his reflections. The event saw participation from a wide range of political and social figures, including Upazila BNP General Secretary Monir Akon, former Joint Convener Sikdar Zakir Hossain Bachchu, Municipal BNP Convener Abdul Mannan Hawlader, Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Jamaddar, Municipal BNP Joint Convener Wasim Mannan Utpal Jamaddar, Upazila Jubo Dal Member Secretary HM Shamim Hossain, Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Amir Hossain Khan, Bangladesh Islami Andolan Upazila President Alhaj Badsha Jamaddar, Bhandaria Press Club General Secretary Riaz Mahmud Mithu, former Municipal Swechchhasebak Dal Member Secretary Tanvir Zia Russell, and Upazila Chhatra Dal Joint Convener Ibrahim Hossain Kiran.

The speakers emphasized that the nation will forever remember the sacrifices of the July martyrs with deep respect.
