An organized group of vested interests has been engaged in a systematic smear campaign against the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party (VDP), exploiting isolated incidents in various parts of the country, including Natore's Bagatipara and Mymensingh's Gafargaon.

This syndicate has been utilizing social media and certain media outlets to disseminate purposeful propaganda, often by manipulating and distorting the statements of individual Ansar members to exploit their inherent sincerity. The force has taken firm note of these activities and has reiterated its uncompromising stance against such negative propaganda.

Despite these unwanted efforts to malign the force, there has been no decline in the dedication and professionalism shown by members of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP in the field. On the contrary, the steadfast position of the force against injustice and their commitment to service have led to a steady increase in public trust and confidence in the organization. A prime example of this growing confidence is the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) entrusting the long-term security of all its stadiums and facilities to the Ansar force. Recently, BCB Director Syed Ibrahim Ahmed expressed high satisfaction with the capabilities and sense of duty displayed by Ansar members during a viral podcast.

The origin of recent manufactured controversies can be traced back to an incident on July 12 at the Natore Bagatipara Upazila Health Complex, where an individual insisted on parking his motorcycle in a restricted zone despite being told otherwise by the on-duty Ansar member. Upon returning, the individual claimed to be a hospital staff member—a statement later proven false—and aggressively threatened the Ansar member for enforcing the rules.

The issue was resolved only after the individual apologized in the face of strict warnings from the hospital authorities and the Upazila administration.
