Fishermen not yet returned deep sea in Kalapara : Fishermen in river return with various species of fish including hilsa

Sowmetrow Sumon, Payra Port (Patuakhali)

The fishermen who went to catch fish in the deep Bay of Bengal of Patuakhali have not yet returned to the ghat. So now Alipur and Mahipur fishing ports are empty.

However, the fishermen who went for fishing in the Bay of Bengal along the various rivers and Kuakata of the local district have returned to the shore. Most of them have returned to the fishermen with various species of fish including Kangkhit Hilsa.

This brought a smile to the faces of fishermen and fisheries related people. In this way, if the fish is caught in the fishermen's net, the back debt can be overcome, the fishermen said. However, fishermen in the deep sea may return to the shore in the next two to three days, said fish traders.

Fisherman Rahmat Ali said, big hilsa and all kinds of fish are falling in the net when the net is cast on the shores of the Bay of Bengal and in different rivers. We sold one boat for 47 thousand taka. It is actually a product of prohibition.

Md. Didar Uddin Ahmed Masum, President of Mahipur Mats Arat Malik Cooperative Society, said that some fishermen of Arde Daily Fishing are coming with large hilsa and different species of fish. Even in the deep sea it seems that fish can be found according to our needs.

Kalapara Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Apusaha said, due to the ban on fishing in rivers and seas from October 13 to November 3 for the unrestricted breeding of hilsa, large hilsa is available on the shore, and he expects good hilsa to be found in the deep sea this year.
