The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) has rolled out two advanced digital platforms—the Cyber Incident Reporting System (CIRS) and the National ICT & Cyber Security Rating System (NRS)—to fortify the country's digital defense framework.

The systems were officially inaugurated on Tuesday by Faqir Mahbub Anam, Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Science and Technology, at the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) auditorium in the capital's Agargaon. During the event, the initial draft of the National Cyber Security Strategy 2026–2030 was also unveiled for stakeholder review.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Minister Anam noted that the rollout of CIRS and NRS marks a milestone in countering escalating cyber threats, data breaches, and online fraud. He explained that CIRS will allow citizens and organizations to report security breaches for prompt remediation, while NRS will evaluate and benchmark the cyber resilience of public and private institutions.

The minister further stressed the importance of responsible digital engagement and public awareness to combat online harassment and misinformation, emphasizing that building a secure digital ecosystem requires a collaborative approach between the state, private entities, and citizens.

Rehan Asif Asad, Adviser to the Prime Minister, underscored that moving toward a cashless economy and expanding digital infrastructure necessitates uncompromised cyber security.

The inauguration ceremony was chaired by ICT Division Secretary Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan and attended by Bangladesh Bank Governor Md. Mostakur Rahman, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Major General Md. Emdadul Bari (Retd.), alongside industry stakeholders and senior government officials.
