Eviction of illegal buildings built on 10 acres of land of Mongla Port starts

The Mongla Port Authority has started the eviction drive of the illegal buildings built on 10 acres of land of the Mongla Port Authority.
On the first day of the eviction operation from Monday morning , 77 illegal shops located in an area of about two acres next to the Mongla Marine Drive was evicted .
Port Authority Executive Magistrate Sonojit Kumar Chand said that this eviction process will continue to take possession of about ten acres of land dispossessed by the Mongla Port Authority.
Senior officials of the Port Authority were present in the eviction operation. Members of the Navy, members of the Special Security Force of the port performed duties in this operation.
