Jamaat holds rally, march in Baralekha demanding justice for those involved in Paltan murder

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami held a rally and protest march in Baralekha, Moulvibazar, demanding justice for those involved in the killing of those killed in the Paltan attack in the capital on October 28, 2006.
The rally was organized by the Barolekha Upazila Jamaat as part of the central program on Wednesday at 4:30 pm. The event was presided over by the acting Amir of the Upazila Jamaat, Maulana Islam Uddin. The event was moderated by the Upazila Nayeb Amir Abdullah Al Mahfuz.
District Jamaat-e-Islami Majlish-e-Shura member and former Amir of Barolekha Upazila Jamaat Emadul Islam, Upazila Majlish-e-Shura and Working Committee member Abdul Mohaimin, and District Secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir Mohsin Ahmed spoke at the rally.
The speakers demanded justice for those involved in the killing of martyrs Mujahidul Islam and Golam Kibria Shipon, who were killed in the Logi-Baithar attack in Paltan, the capital, on October 28, 2006. At that time, they demanded that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her aides be brought to justice.
Also present at the rally were Upazila Jamaat Majlish-e-Shura and Working Council member and Baitulmal Secretary Md. Helal Uddin, Office Secretary and Upazila Youth and Sports Department President Muhammad Kamal Uddin, Municipality Jamaat President Zuber Ahmed, Sadar Union President Rabiul Islam Suhel, South South Union President Abdus Samad, Nij Bahadurpur Union President Abu Taher, Upazila Majlish-e-Shura member Maulana Alim Uddin, South North Union President Lutfur Rahman and Daser Bazar Union President Nurul Islam, along with leaders and activists from various levels of Jamaat and Islami Chhatra Shibir.
