Every Rukon must work according to demands of oath: Abdul Halim

Central Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Team Director of Rangpur-Dinajpur region Maulana Abdul Halim said, “As workers of oath in establishing the religion of Allah, every brother and sister should come forward in the role of servant to fulfill the demands of oath.”
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Rukon Conference organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur Metropolitan Branch at the local town hall on Monday morning. Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, member of the central working council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and team member of Rangpur-Dinajpur region, was the special guest in the conference held under the chairmanship of Ameer of the metropolis Maulana ATM Azam Khan. Professor Anwarul Islam, Secretary Principal Maulana Obaidullah Salafi and others spoke.
In the speech of the chief guest, Maulana Halim said, “We will obey the laws of Al-Qur'an with the aim of establishing justice and peace in the society. We are not owners or leaders, we are servants. Therefore, the work of the Islamic movement should be carried out in spite of the entire hostile environment. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is working towards this goal.”
At the beginning of the Rukon Conference, the swearing event of Vice Principal Maulana ATM Azam Khan as the newly elected Metropolitan Ameer was held. After that, Shura member elections were held in Mahanagar Majlish by secret ballot of Rukons.
