A colourful rally and discussion meeting was held under the leadership of BNP party former MP Shahidul Alam Talukder on the occasion of the historic 7th November National Revolution and Solidarity Day at Bauphal in Patuakhali on Thursday,

The rally started from the former MP's residence in Ward No. 8 of Bauphal Municipality and ended at Bauphal Government College ground after circling the various roads of the municipality. After that, former MP Shahidul Islam Talukder spoke in a short discussion on the college grounds.

Shahidul Alam Talukder said, on this day, the soldiers came down shoulder to shoulder to protected national freedom, sovereignty and democracy by stopping all the conspiracies of the hegemonic circles. Bangladesh's independence was saved only through their united struggle. In the same way, on August 5th, through the united protest of the students, Bangladesh was established free from the fascism government.

BauphalMunicipal BNP President (Acting) Md. Shahjahan Howladar, Upazila BNP Joint Convener and Keshabpur Union Parishad Chairman Md. Taslim Talukdar, Upazila BNP Member and Nazirpur Union BNP President Assistant Prof. Md. Jasim Uddin, Upazila Jubodal Convenor Md. Saiful Islam were present. Jasim, joint convener Md Riaz Mahmud, convener of Paur Chhatra Dal Md Abdullah Al Fahad, former student leader Shaheen Reza and student leader Rahyan Akash.

On the other hand, a discussion meeting was held on the occasion of the day at Mukta Manch Bauphal public ground under the chairmanship of Upazila BNP Convener A. Jabbar Mridha around 3 pm on the initiative of Upazila BNP and the municipality. Muh. Monir Hossain, co-secretary of the central executive committee of BNP, spoke as the chief guest.

Upzella BNP Member Secretary Apple Mahmud Feroze, town BNP Convenor Mizanur Rahman, upzella Jubodal convener Palash, BNP leader Mamun Mridha and others also spoke at the meeting.
