Early elections good for us : CHT Adviser

We did not come to stay in power of the state forever, elections will be held and we will leave. Advisor to the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Supradeep Chakma, has commented that the sooner the elections are held, the better for us.
He said these things at a view-exchange meeting after inaugurating the expanded building of the Khagrachari Sadar Upazila Parishad on Monday afternoon.
Adviser Supradeep Chakma also said, I have been doing basic work, diplomacy for a long time. The government of this country is very generous; it has made a person from the hills a diplomat. This has been possible because the people of this country believe in diversity. Along with Bengalis, those who are from the hills have given this diversity. Therefore, this diversity must be maintained.
Khagrachhari Deputy Commissioner ABM Iftekharul Islam Khandaker, Superintendent of Police Arefin Jewel, District Council Chairman Jiruna Tripura, Khagrachhari District BNP General Secretary MN Abshar among others spoke at the meeting.
Later, a meeting of the District Law and Order Committee was held at the Deputy Commissioner's office.
Speaking as the chief guest at the meeting, Advisor to the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Supradeep Chakma called on all concerned to work together to maintain the law and order situation in the district.
Earlier, he visited Khagrachhari in the morning.
