Upazila Primary Education Officer Sharifa Akhtar has been charged with financial benefits and discrimination in the transfer of primary school teachers in Nilphamari Jaldhaka.

The victims have complained to the media about the Lapatta Education Officer calling a meeting saying that there is no opportunity to get transferred beyond the point of elimination of discrimination and scoring. union of the upazila, Lipi Akhter, an assistant teacher of Balapara Guchchagram Government Primary School of Kaimari Union and Jannatun Ferdausi, an assistant teacher of Dighirpar Government Primary School, applied to the Primary Education Officer on January 26, citing the distance from their workplace to their home.

10 more applications were submitted along with the said application. In the light of the primary education system, the officers are transferred depending on the determination of the size of the scoring or the percentage of points in the primary. Muttalib Hossain complained that although the transfer is supposed to be evaluated on the basis of scoring, the education officer is transferring the person whose scoring is low with financial benefits and those who scored higher have accepted the discrimination.

Abu Taher complained that when education officer Sharifa Akhtar was informed about all these issues, she called an emergency meeting with us in her office at 3 pm on Monday. But Sharifa Akhtar madam has disappeared from the office after calling a meeting on the matter of regret.

I am calling but he is not picking up. He wasted the scheduled transfer time by arguing with us. We are facing loss as a family. Sharifa Akhtar, the upazila primary education officer, said that the education board authority transfers after seeing the scoring. I sent from upazila only.
