DU Journalism Department's 64th founding anniv celebrated

A seminar titled 'Intersynthesis of Politics, Power and Journalism: Theory, Reality and Future' was held on Sunday at the Professor Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences, on the occasion of the 64th founding anniversary of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Dhaka University.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan was the chief guest at the seminar and Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam was present as the special guest.
The seminar was chaired by Professor Kazi Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Acting Chairman of the Department, and Nurul Kabir, President of the Editors' Council and Editor of the Daily New Age, spoke as the main discussant. The program was moderated by Prof Robayet Ferdous of the Department.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam extended his greetings and congratulations to the teachers and students of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism on their founding anniversary.
