Drug dealer arrested in anti-drug operation in Rajarhat

Joint forces arrested a drug dealer in Rajarhat. In a joint operation by the army and police near the Rajarhat railway station at around 8 pm on Suday.

Captain Khalid of the 22nd Bangladesh Infantry Regiment under the 72nd Infantry Brigade of the Rangpur Division of the Army said that the army conducted the operation after receiving information from intelligence sources.

However, after sensing the presence of the army, Rubel Mia's wife Arjina Begum fled with a bag of drugs including tafentadol, but the army arrested Rubel Mia and handed him over to the police.

Rubel Mia is the son of the deceased Raja Mia of Mekurtari village in Rajarhat.

Rajarhat Police Station OC Bikash Chandra Roy admitted incident and said that the accused has been kept in police custody. The case is under process.photo attached
