Disabled individuals get clothes on death anniv of Daily Jugantor founder Nurul Islam Babul

New clothes were distributed among physically challenged individuals in Sylhet on Monday to mark the sixth death anniversary of Freedom Fighter Nurul Islam Babul, founder of Daily Jugantor, Jamuna Television, and former chairman of Jamuna Group.
The clothing distribution took place after Zuhr prayers at the shrine premises of Hazrat Shahjalal (R) in Sylhet.
Daily Jugantor Staff Reporter and Sylhet Bureau Chief of The Country Today Habib Sarwar Azad, journalists Sarwar Jahan and Fakhr Uddin, and social worker Sanjit Singh, among other local media personnel, were present at the event.
Organized by the Tahirpur Upazila Swajan Samabay in Sunamganj, a series of commemorative programs—including the distribution of educational materials to religious institutions, cash assistance, food items, and clothing to underprivileged families, alongside special prayers and milad mahfils across Sylhet, Sunamganj, and Tahirpur—have been planned to seek eternal peace for the departed soul and well-being for the nation.
