Md. Sajjadul Karim, a resident of Dakshinkhan, Dhaka, has a five-month-old baby named 'Arham' suffering from a very complex and life-threatening disease called Biliary Atresia. The bile ducts of the liver have been damaged due to a congenital liver disease.

The family informed that a few days ago, Arham's regular check-up doctor was shown to the famous pediatrician Dr. Enamul Karim due to some blood in his vomit. He immediately referred Arham to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (PG Hospital) for advanced tests as his condition was critical. Then, after a long examination and investigation while he was admitted to PG, the doctors informed that the child was suffering from a very complex disease called "Biliary Atresia".

Later, he was placed under the supervision of the country's renowned pediatric liver specialist, Professor Dr. Salahuddin Mahmud, working at Bangladesh Children's Hospital and Institute. He thoroughly reviewed all the reports and confirmed that Arham's liver was severely damaged due to blocked bile ducts.

He said that there was no other option but to urgently perform a liver transplant to save the child. The doctor referred him to the famous Rela Institute in Chennai, India for advanced treatment. The treatment is very expensive.

His mother is ready to donate her liver to save her child. But even if the mother agrees to donate the liver, the doctors estimate that this very complex and sensitive surgery will require around 50 to 60 lakh taka, and that a second and third surgery may be required, the doctors said.

Therefore, on behalf of the helpless parents, they have requested the wealthy people of the society for financial help. The child's father said, 'I have spent all my money and property, now without the help of people, I will not be able to save my child.'
