A man from Cumilla was shot dead in New York. Two Bangladeshis, including a man named Babul Mia of Cumillas Nangalkot, were killed by gunmen from New York.

They were shot and killed on Saturday (April 27) afternoon local time, New York police said.

The incident happened around 12:30pm local time in the 100 block of East Ferry and Jenner Streets in Buffalo. The deceased Babul Mia's house is in the north ward of Haripur village of Nangalkot municipality in Cumilla . He is the son of deceased Abdul Aziz of that village. The name of the other person killed is Abu Saleh. Yusuf. 53-year-old Yusuf's home is in Sylhet.

He has been in the United States for a long time. Family moved to Buffalo from Virginia a few months ago. Babul used to work with Yusuf as a construction assistant. According to eyewitnesses, Babul was working in his Buffalo house in Yusuf's presence.

At that time a black youth demanded some money from them. At one stage of the argument between the two, the youth shot at them and fled from the spot. It has been found that the deceased Babul Mia is the youngest among the 3 sons of the Abdul Aziz of Haripur village.

Babul Mia went to America through the DB lottery. Babul Mia came to Buffalo permanently with his wife and 7 children from Virginia 1 year ago. Hearing the news of Babul Mia's death, the atmosphere of the area became heavy with the cries of his relatives at his village house.

Jobayeda Hannan School and College Principal Ruhul Amin said that Babul Mia has been living in America for a long time and has taken the entire family. Some time ago on Saturday afternoon, miscreants shot and killed him while renovating his house. Miscreants also killed a Bangladeshi.
