Court’s order on student politics must be abided: Buet VC

Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) Prof Satya Prasad Majumder has said that they are bound to comply with the court order that allows student politics on the university campus.
The Buet VC made the remarks while talking to reporters at his office after the High Court passed an order, lifting the ban on student politics on the public technological research university campus on Monday.
“We must obey the HC order. We cannot be accused of contempt of court,” he said in a reaction to the court order.
Earlier on Saturday, Majumder expressed his solidarity with the demand raised by the agitated students to keep the campus free from student politics.
