Coast Guard - Police joint drive : 6 hand bombs, 5 homemade weapons recovered in Bhola

Bangladesh Coast Guard and police conducted a joint operation on Tuesday and recovered six hand bombs and five homemade weapons from Bhola.
Lieutenant Commander H M M Harun-ur-Rashid, media officer of the Coast Guard, confirmed the information in a press release on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the press release, based on confidential intelligence, a special operation was carried out jointly by Coast Guard Base Bhola and the police from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM in the Char Shifli area under Char Shamaya Union of Bhola Sadar Police Station. During the operation, a raid was conducted at the house of Md. Mainuddin Molla (37), where six hand bombs (cocktails) and five homemade weapons (two machetes, one axe, and two cleavers) were recovered. Md. Mainuddin Molla (37) was arrested during the raid.The arrested individual, Md. Mainuddin Molla, is the son of the late Shahjahan Molla of Char Shamaya Union under Bhola Sadar Police Station and serves as the Cultural Affairs Secretary of the Awami League in Char Shamaya Union.Legal proceedings are underway regarding the seized hand bombs, homemade weapons, and the arrested individual.The Bangladesh Coast Guard continues 24-hour patrol and special operations in coastal and riverine areas to maintain law and order, significantly improving the situation in these regions. The Coast Guard has announced that such operations will continue in the future.
