Clerk Alimul of Sonaimuri Sub-Registry Office sleeps during working hours, customers not getting services

Noakhali: Keeping the common people waiting for hours to get services at government offices is nothing new. However, if the official in charge is accused of sleeping comfortably on a table and chair during working hours, it goes without saying that the suffering of the customers reaches its peak. One such irresponsible incident has emerged from the Sonaimuri Sub-Registry Office in Noakhali.
A recently taken picture shows office clerk Alimul lying on a chair next to the table and fast asleep during office hours. Service seekers complain that they are disappointed to see such a picture coming to the sub-registry office day after day. On the contrary, they are facing extreme suffering due to such negligence and indifference of the employees when they come to official work.
Conscious circles consider it a gross negligence of duty to remain in a government office and sleep during the day without performing duties. The aggrieved common people have demanded an immediate and proper investigation into the incident.
