Several paved roads have been fully completed in different neighborhoods, markets, and villages of Dhanpur Union, a border area of Bishwambharpur Upazila in Sunamganj district.

This was made possible through the tireless efforts of Advocate Nurul Islam Nurul, MP of Sunamganj-4 Constituency, and with the full cooperation of Dhanpur UP Chairman Md. Milon Mia. The work was carried out using allocations from TR, Kabika, and Kabita projects and included the construction of box culverts, earth filling, and paved roads.

On Wednesday afternoon, a field visit to various areas of Dhanpur Union showed that development projects for FY 2025–2026 under the government’s Social Safety Net and Rural Infrastructure Development Program have been successfully implemented. The work was done through TR [Test Relief], Kabikha, and Kabita general projects.

Through these projects, rural road repairs, earth filling, culvert repairs, and other infrastructure development works have been completed. This has not only made it easier for local people to commute, but has also created employment opportunities for the helpless, poor, distressed, and working-class people of the area.

Abu Hasnat Sarkar, Additional Project Implementation Officer in charge of Bishwambharpur Upazila, said, “In line with government directives, the TR, Kabikha, and Kabita projects in Dhanpur Union, Bishwambharpur, have been implemented with 100% transparency and accountability. Because of active supervision by local residents and the UP Chairman, the projects were completed on time and are playing a major role in the area’s development. Development activities will continue in the future. With the efforts and constant supervision of Advocate Nurul Islam Nurul, MP of Sunamganj-4, there has been significant improvement in the upazila’s roads.”

Dhanpur UP Chairman Md. Milon Khan said, “Thanks to the relentless efforts of Honorable MP Advocate Nurul Islam Nurul Bhai, the long-standing public suffering is about to end. Along with members of my council and people from various professions in the union, I sincerely supervised the project construction work. I am forever grateful to them.

Their expectation is that once the work is completed within the stipulated time, commuting will become much easier, safer, and more comfortable for students, farmers, worshippers, and people from all walks of life.”
