Govt support for dev of marginalized people will continue : MP Dr. Tipu

Various government departments in Manda Upazila of Naogaon distributed agricultural inputs, financial assistance, bicycles, sewing machines and scholarship money to farmers, disaster-affected families, students from ethnic minorities and helpless women through four separate programs in one day on Thursday.
Manda constituency MP Dr. Ikramul Bari Tipu was present as the chief guest in these day-long programs.
Manda UNO Akhtar Jahan Sathi presided over various programs.
Speaking as the chief guest, MP Dr. Ikramul Bari Tipu said that the government's goal is not just to provide grants, but to ensure sustainable improvement in the quality of life of the people. The government is consistently implementing these assistance programs to make farmers, students, small ethnic groups and disaster-affected people self-reliant.
A total of 1.4 million taka of financial assistance checks were distributed among 700 beneficiaries affected by various natural disasters under the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief at the Upazila Parishad Hall. The event was organized by the Upazila Administration and Upazila Disaster Management Department.
On the same day, under the Agricultural Incentive Program for the fiscal year 2025-26, free Aman rice seeds, summer onions, hybrid peppers, vegetable seeds, fertilizer, air flow machines for onion preservation, lemon and various species of tree seedlings, and other agricultural inputs were distributed among 3,000 farmers in the upazila.
In addition, necessary materials were distributed among fish farmers to set up demonstration farms under the Union Level Fisheries Technology Service Expansion Project (Phase III) implemented by the Office of the Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer.
On the other hand, under the 'Development Assistance for Special Areas (excluding Chittagong Hill Tracts)' program implemented by the Prime Minister's Office, sewing machines were distributed among 11 helpless women from small ethnic groups, bicycles among 17 school and college students, and a total of 499,000 taka in cash scholarships were distributed among 113 students.
Officials from various departments of the upazila administration, public representatives, political leaders, teachers, farmers, fish farmers, students and beneficiaries were present at the events.
