Chemicals supplied to 9 departments in GSTU, new equipment added to medical center

To improve the quality of education and research, the university administration has provided chemicals worth about 1.9 million taka to 9 departments at Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GSTU). At the same time, modern equipment has been added to the medical center to improve the healthcare of students.
 
Vice-Chancellor Prof  Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar handed over these chemicals to the concerned department heads at his office on Wednesday at 3 pm. Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Sohel Hasan was present at the time.
 
In the first phase, necessary chemicals were provided to strengthen laboratory activities in the departments of Civil Engineering, Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Botany, Fisheries, and Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. The authorities said that research materials will be provided to other departments of the university in phases.
 
In this regard, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar said that such initiatives will continue in the future to improve the quality of education and advance research activities.
 
On the other hand, modern equipment has been added at a cost of about 9 lakh taka to launch pathology services at the university's medical center. The Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the pathology service activities at 4 pm.
 
With the launch of this new service, university teachers, students, officers, and employees will now be able to receive more advanced healthcare at the medical center.
