Chase, counter chase between rival labour-organizations of BNP in Bagerhat

Chase hotly and counter chase were taken place between the two rival labour groups of BNP taking the control over the possession of Bagerhat central bus stand on Monday noon.
The incident happened before the eyes of police. After a few minutes when a contingent of army rushed to the spot the rival labour groups left the place of occurrence. One group was led by one Saiful Islam, a BNP labour leader and the other group led by Abul Kashem Bhuiya Selim alias Selim Bhuiya, a BNP labour leader. Both the groups claimed that their organizations were registered by the concerned authorities.
It is learnt from the locals that after the fall of Shaeikh Hasina Government on 5th August the leaders of local Awami League, Sramik League and their supported local labour organizers left Bagerhat central bus stand.
Following their departure a new labour organization supported by BNP took control over the bus stand, But on 2nd December another labour organization supported by the BNP armed with various home-made arms including lethal weapons attacked the bus stand and chased those who earlier took the possession over the bus stand and chase and counter chase continued for a long before the eyes of police. Before this incident both the groups held press conference and counter press conferences claiming their right over thed bus stand. Being informed of the matter when two battalions of Bangladesh army rushed to the spot both the groups fled away. At present a tense situation is prevailing there.
Mention be made here that both the groups formed 2 separate committees of bus, mini bus, micro-bus and cars etc. and both the organizations claimed that they are valid and properly registered by the legal authorities and the opponent is illegal.
One group took the possession of the bus stand. Then the other group attacked the bus stand and ransacked it. Md. Sayeedur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Bagerhat Sadar Model PS told, we are able to save the bus stand from their attack and compelled both the groups to leave the bus stand.
