Charmonai Pir greets new President Mirza Fakhrul with request to rise above party

Ameer of Islamic Movement Bangladesh Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Pir Saheb Charmonai on Thursday extended warm congratulations and best wishes to the newly elected His Excellency President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir after the 23rd presidential election. He prayed to Allah Almighty for his good health, good life and overall well-being.
In the statement, Pir Saheb Charmonai said, "The constitution of Bangladesh requires the President to perform ceremonial duties. However, the constitution forces the President to remain outside the party circle. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has also given up his long-standing political duties. He had to resign from the post of BNP Secretary General. The reason for this is that the President is a symbol of the country's universal unity and the trust of all. I request the newly elected His Excellency the President to rise above party and opinion and perform his duties in the interest of the country and the nation."
The Ameer of the Islamic Movement of Bangladesh said, honesty has now become a rare thing in politics. The newly elected President there is a tested person in terms of honesty. At the same time, he is a seasoned commander in the movement to establish human rights. His efforts in developing fair politics are well known to all.
