A case has been filed in Chattogram against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her cabinet members, police officials, businessmen, and lawyers, accusing them of attempted murder.
On Monday , Kafil Uddin, a resident of Kotwali police station, lodged the case in the court of Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Deb. The court has directed the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), Chattogram Metro Unit, to investigate and submit a report.
The accused include former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Transport Minister Obaidul Quader, former Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, along with several political and administrative figures.
According to the plaintiff, he was injured during a planned attack while participating in an anti-discrimination movement on August 4. The plaintiff further claimed that delays in identifying the accused and recovering from his injuries caused the delay in filing the case. The plaintiff's lawyer and court officials have confirmed the matter.
