The "Munshiganj District 4 Seats Implementation Committee" has called for a public relations campaign and a movement for legitimate rights, demanding the reinstatement of four parliamentary seats in Munshiganj district, based on the 2001 delimitation. 

On Wednesday  from 9 AM to 4 PM, under the leadership of AFM Matiur Rahman, Convenor of the Munshiganj District 4 Seats Implementation Committee, and freedom fighter Adv  Mohsin Miah, Member Secretary, this public relations campaign and long march will begin from Buriganga Bridge-1 (Postogola) and proceed to Kunder Bari Bridge, Abdullahpur, and Tongibari Chowrasta for a street meeting, concluding in Munshiganj. The agenda for this program includes: reinstating the four parliamentary seats, which is a vital demand of the people of Munshiganj district; raising public awareness to secure legitimate rights for the people of Munshiganj district; and distributing leaflets to realize these rights.

In this regard, freedom fighter Advocate Mohsin Miah, spokesperson for the Munshiganj District 4 Parliamentary Seats Implementation Committee, former president and general secretary of Dhaka Bar, and member of the Bangladesh Bar Council, stated in a press release that according to the 2001 delimitation, Munshiganj district had four parliamentary seats. These included Srinagar-Sirajdikhan Parliamentary Seat-1, Lohajang-Sirajdikhan Parliamentary Seat-2, Tongibari-Munshiganj Sadar Parliamentary Seat-3, and Gazaria-Munshiganj Sadar Parliamentary Seat-4. These four parliamentary seats are our proud right. In 2007, the then caretaker government reduced these four seats to three. Subsequently, the "fascist Hasina government" implemented this politically motivated move to prolong their power, disregarding the public's opinion in Munshiganj district. This has deprived our district of development.
