CAB district committee forms human chain in Sylhet

On the initiative of Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Sylhet District Committee, a nation-wide human chain program has been held to protest against the use of unsanitary, unsafe and non-food grade drum edible oil in edible oil markets.
As part of the program, this human The Human chain program was organized by Sylhet district committee at 10:30 am on Sunday at court point area of Sylhet city.
Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Sylhet district committee president and central committee vice president Jamil Chowdhury in the chair and general secretary Parvez Ahmed spoke in the human chain program and advisor Professor M Shafiqur Rahman, district committee vice president FF Mohi Uddin Ahmed, Dr Md. Abdur Rakib, Publicity Secretary. Dulal Hossain, Cab Sylhet member Ali Ashraf Chowdhury, Vaterian Sylhet president.
Lutfur Rahman, Sylhet divisional CAB member Zakirul Islam, CAB Osmaninagar branch president Shahidul Islam, Sunamganj district CAB member Shahjahan Siraj, Bhatipara Union Awami League president Md. Paki Chowdhury and others also attendedhere.
The speakers in the meeting drew the attention of the government to stop the use of unhygienic, unsafe and non-food grade drum edible oil in the edible oil market.
Later the leaders submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
