Bus -truck head-on collsion in Puthia leaves 8 injured

A head-on collision between a bus and a truck occurred in Puthia, Rajshahi. 8 people were injured.
The incident occurred on Friday at 9:10 am on the Jhalmalia Ghoshpara (Rajshahi-Natore) highway in Jiupara union under Puthia police station. Puthia Officer-in-Charge Kabir Hossain confirmed this.
It is learned that on Friday (January 31) at around 9 am, a bus Maha-Hajera Paribahan (Dhaka Metro-B 15-9665) heading from Rajshahi to Natore and a truck (Dhaka Metro-T 20-7563) coming from the opposite direction collided head-on.
The bus passengers and the truck driver were injured. The injured, Md. Shamsul (28), son of Haider Ali of Belkuchi in Sirajganj, Md. Saiful Islam (32), son of Haider Ali of Ullapara in Sirajganj, Md. Nahid (25), son of Shahinur of Nayapara village in Gobindaganj upazila in Gaibandha, Md. Fatema Begum (27), daughter of Saidul Islam of Gandagohali village in Puthia, and other injured were taken to the Puthia Upazila Health Complex by the local people for treatment and the on-duty doctor provided treatment.
The police of Paba Highway Police Station have seized the bus and the truck from the scene. In this regard, the officer-in-charge of Puthia Police Station, Kabir Hossain, said that we have received information about an accident and have sent our force there.
