Betagi Model Government Primary School has secured the top position in Barguna district in the recently published primary scholarship exam results.

According to data from the Upazila Primary Education Office, a total of 589 students from 132 government primary schools in the upazila registered for the examination, with 353 ultimately participating. Among them, 94 students secured scholarships, including 28 in the talent-pool category and 66 in the general grade. Additionally, out of 10 participants from private kindergarten schools, one achieved a talent-pool scholarship and another secured a general grade scholarship.

Betagi Model Government Primary School, located at the upazila headquarters, maintained its reputation as a leading academic institution by sending 40 examinees to the session's scholarship exam, with 31 of them successfully securing scholarships.

The school's successful talent-pool recipients include Tayeba Tabassum Moushi, Tasfia Jahan Samira, Mariam Akter Taha, Junaira Akter, Aradhya Karmakar, Tasnia Tahia, Maisha Tabassum Moon, Jui Biswas, Niama Amin, Muner Shahriar Mahir, Md. Ashikur Rahman, HM Azmir Hossain, Debjit Guha, Saikat Hossain Shuvo, Tafim Sikdar, and Muntasir Azmain Mahi.

The general grade scholarship recipients from the institution are Md. Abdullah, Abdullah Al Mahin, Soyeba Tasnim, Meherun Nesa Atika, Tohura Rafia, Taiyeba Moni, Nobonita Shill, Tasnin Jahan, Puja Das, Naziha Nazmin, Kothamala, Faria Islam, Saifa Islam Tanha, Israt Jahan Maisha, and Hafsa Akter.

The achievement has sparked widespread celebration among the students, parents, and faculty. "This scholarship will inspire me to dream bigger and strive for excellence in the future. It motivates me to be even more focused on my studies," said Tasfia Jahan Samira, a talent-pool recipient from the school.

Twin siblings Moon and Mahir, who both secured talent-pool scholarships from the institution, expressed their excitement, noting that the recognition has deepened their responsibility toward their academic journeys.

Betagi Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Nizam Uddin congratulated the school on its success and assured continued administrative support to maintain its academic standards. The institution has previously received multiple official accolades as a top-performing school at the upazila, district, divisional, and national levels for its educational environment and co-curricular performance.

Expressing her joy, Jesmin Akter, Headmistress of Betagi Model Government Primary School, attributed the success to the dedication and collective efforts of the teaching staff.

Betagi UNO Muh. Saddam Hussain extended his congratulations to the scholarship recipients and commended the teachers and guardians for their commitment to nurturing the young learners.
