Attempt to kill HSC candidate in Sandwip

A higher secondary examination (HSC) student was abducted from the college premises and beaten up and later the abductors left him unconscious on the street at Sandwip in Chittagong on Wednesday.
It is alleged that group of youths picked up the student named Nazrul Islam Shaheen from MR College at around 4 pm on Wednesday.
Shaheen is scheduled to participate in the higher secondary examination to be held on November 6. He went to the college to attend the farewell ceremony.
Shaheen's brother Kamruzzaman said, quoting eyewitnesses, "When he was leaving after the farewell ceremony, some young men led by Sakib, the son of Taher Councilor of Sandwip municipality, took him on a motorcycle.
Later, he was left unconscious on the side of the road and was admitted him to a hospital and he is yet to regain consciousness till filing of this report. .
When asked what caused this incident, Suman said, 'My brother has not regained consciousness. So I can't say for sure.
Recently, in the discussion meeting of the college on the death anniversary of Dwipbandhu Mustafizur Rahman, he gave ahe criticised the activities of some unruly boys in the college including evening teasing in the presence of MP Mahfuzur Rahman Mita . Allegations of these acts are more against Shakib. That's why they seem to have done it.'
It is mentioned here that Shakib is a close aide of local MP Mahfuzur Rahman Mita and son of Poura Councilor Taher.
