Appeal for help : Journalist's son Rihan' needs medical treatment abroad

Ragib Ishraq Rihan (4), a child from a helpless family, is suffering from a congenital heart defect. Rihan has already undergone a surgery abroad. Currently, Bangladeshi cardiologists have advised Rihan's parents to undergo a second surgery abroad. However, it is now becoming impossible for the helpless family to cover the child's medical expenses.

Now the helpless family has no assets except their home. In the meantime, the family's savings, including the business of child Rihan's father, were depleted due to a surgery.
Rihan, the only child of a poor family, is now almost 4 and a half years old. According to the medical report, the child was born with two blocked blood vessels in the heart, two holes in the heart, and other problems.
Meanwhile, the first microsurgery was performed on May 10, 2024, as per the decision of the medical board of 5 cardiologists, including Dr. Devi Prasad Sethi, a surgeon in the cardiac department of Narayana Health Hospital in Bangalore, India. At that time, the child Rihan was about 2 years and 4 months old. During this time, 1 congenital blood vessel block was set and 3 heart-lung balloons were changed. After the surgery, the child Rihan returned to a healthy and normal life. However, with increasing age, the child Rihan is living at risk due to an abnormal blood circulation system due to 2 holes in the heart and blood vessel blocks. As the days go by, Rihan's health is deteriorating.
It is learned that the child Rihan is currently receiving treatment under the supervision of Brigadier General Professor Nurun Nahar Fatema (retd), a neonatal, pediatric and structural interventional cardiologist and intensivist at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital Ltd. located in the capital Dhaka. He and other doctors have said that a second surgery will have to be done to save the child. This requires open heart surgery to block blood vessels and close two heart holes. For this, they have advised to take an expert child cardiac surgeon abroad to do the second surgery. This requires more than 10 (ten) lakhs of taka for the treatment. However, the helpless child's family is not able to cover the medical expenses alone. In such a situation, financial help is needed from the wealthy and well-off people of the society.
