Ansar detains three illegal middlemen at Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital

Members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Ansar (DMA) West Zone detained three suspected illegal middlemen during a special drive conducted at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital in Dhaka on Thursday.
Acting on confidential intelligence, an operational team led by Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana Ansar and VDP Officer Mamun-or-Rashid conducted the drive around 9:00 AM on Thursday near Ward No. 637 of the hospital premises while the individuals were collecting blood samples from patients.
Preliminary interrogations revealed that the detained individuals were not authorized hospital employees or staff. The suspects had allegedly been exploiting vulnerable patients for extended periods by charging inflated fees for diagnostic tests and fraudulently redirecting patients to private external diagnostic centers.
The detained individuals were identified as Abu Bakkar Siddique (48), Mst. Mahmuda Khatun (40), and Mst. Monika (30).
The operation was conducted with assistance from Ansar PC Md. Sadek Hossain Bachchu and APC Md. Shafiqul Islam. All three suspects were subsequently handed over to the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station for further legal proceedings and formal processing.
