Jamalpur Samity, Dhaka accords reception to Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashiduzzaman Millat

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister and Member of Parliament for Jamalpur-1, M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, was accorded a grand reception by Jamalpur Samity, Dhaka at the Dhaka Club on Thursday following his appointment as a full cabinet minister.
Addressing the gathering at 6:00 PM on Thursday as chief guest, Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat expressed gratitude to the people of Jamalpur, recalling his political journey since first being elected as an MP in 2001 and his subsequent re-election from the Jamalpur-1 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election in 2026. During his address, the minister paid tribute to late Barrister Abdus Salam Talukder, acknowledging his contributions to the region's political leadership.
Highlighting ongoing and planned development projects, the minister announced initiatives to transform Lawchapra into an international-standard tourist destination and build new tourism hotel infrastructure in Jhenaigati to promote regional tourism across Jamalpur. Furthermore, he disclosed that a major embankment project aimed at preventing erosion along the Jamuna River is currently awaiting approval from the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) to protect local residents.
The reception was attended by elected Members of Parliament from the Jamalpur district, executive leaders of Jamalpur Samity, Dhaka, and distinguished personalities from the region.
