State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, MP, declared a zero-tolerance policy against corruption in land management while reminding trainee officers that the country's 18 crore citizens are the true owners of the state.

Addressing as special guest at a certificate distribution ceremony for officers completing the 48th and 49th Basic Land Management Courses at the Land Administration Training Centre (LATC) in Dhaka on Thursday, State Minister Barrister Mir Helal urged newly appointed Assistant Commissioners (Land) to serve the public with integrity and efficiency.

The State Minister stated that while a minimal one percent of corrupt individuals misrepresent the overall integrity of the land management sector, assistant commissioners must identify, resist, and eliminate dishonest practices while holding subordinates accountable. He urged officers to ensure that every citizen feels empowered and respected when accessing administrative services.

The certificate distribution ceremony was attended by Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare Minister Professor Dr. A Z M Zaid Hossain, MP, as chief guest. Land Minister Md. Mizanur Rahman Minu, MP, and State Minister for Social Welfare Ms. Farjana Sharmin, MP, were also present as special guests.
