Allowance cheques distributed to disabled children of expatriate workers in Cumilla

The Wage Earners Welfare Board under Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and External Affairs distributed allowance checks to 90 disabled children of expatriate workers in Cumilla district on Sunday morning .

Shoaib Ahmad Khan, Joint Secretary and Director (Finance and Welfare), Wage Earners Welfare Board, Dhaka, was present as the Chief Guest in the function organized by the District Administration and District Employment and Manpower Office at the conference room of Cumilla District Commissioner's office.

Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Deputy Commissioner was the president.
In the speech of the chief guest, Shoaib Ahmad Khan said, on the occasion of Mujib Barsha, the Wage Earners Welfare Board has been providing allowances to disabled children of expatriate workers since last year.

Each disabled child will get a monthly allowance of 1000 taka for 5 years and a total of 60,000 taka. He said that the highest number of allowances in Bangladesh (58 last year, 43 this year) is being paid in Cumilla district.

A check of 12 thousand rupees per person is being given along with 12 months allowance.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Kamrul Hasan also spoke on the occasion. Debbrata Ghosh, Assistant Director of District Employment and Manpower Office, conducts and overall management.
