74th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Students’ Union celebrated in Gaibandha

The 74th founding anniversary of the progressive student organization, Bangladesh Students’ Union, was celebrated in Gaibandha through various programs.
On this occasion, a discussion meeting, quiz competition, and prize distribution ceremony were held on Sunday, organized by the Gaibandha district unit.
The event was presided over by District President Maitraye Hasan Joyita. Assistant General Secretary of the central committee, Riddha Anindya Ganguly, attended as the chief guest and delivered a speech.
Among others, former organizing secretary of the district committee Golam Rabbani Musa, district general secretary Zakir Hasan, president of Gaibandha Government College unit Ujjal Pal, and convener of the district Student Front Kamrul Hasan Bosunia also spoke at the event.
During the program held at the district office, students from various educational institutions in the town participated in a quiz competition, followed by a prize distribution ceremony.
Speakers highlighted the glorious role of the Bangladesh Students’ Union in student movements and noted its significant contribution to the country’s independence struggle. They also demanded a unified education system and a proper academic environment.
