57 needy, disabled, homeless, poor meritorious students in Kalapara get cash assistance

Cash assistance checks have been distributed among the needy, helpless, sick, disabled and homeless, and among disabled and poor meritorious students in Kalapara, Patuakhali.
Local MP Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain MP handed over the cash assistance checks to 57 beneficiaries at the Upazila Parishad hall on Thursday morning, organized by the Upazila Administration and Social Services Office.
Present at the event, moderated by Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Zahirul Islam and chaired by UNO Md. Arifuzzaman, were Agriculture Officer Md. Arafat Hossain, Upazila Engineer Md. Moniruzzaman, Upazila BNP President Haji Humayun Sikder, Organizing Secretary Advocate Khandaker Nasir Uddin, Municipal BNP President Gazi Md. Faruk, Secretary Musa Tauhid Nannu Munshi, among others.

He said that the National Social Welfare Council has distributed financial assistance checks of Tk 5.70 lakh, at a rate of Tk 10,000 each, to 57 beneficiaries.
