45 venomous snakes killed by farmers in Goalando

40-45 poisonous snakes were killed by farmers in Majlishpur char area of Ujanchar union of Goalando upazila of Rajbari.
The snakes were killed at the Aizawl shopkeeper's house on Monday afternoon.
Sheikh Russell Mahmud, UP member of Ward No. 9 of Ujanchar Union Parishad, said that the Aizal shopkeeper of Majlishpur Char area threshed the corn of his field and collected it in the courtyard of his house on Sunday afternoon.
When those corns went to dry in the sun on Monday afternoon, they saw the snakes under the corn and screamed. At that time, the people around came quickly and killed 40-45 12-15 inch venomous snakes and buried the snakes on the ground.
Goalando Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Farsim Tarannum Haque said that due to the intense heat wave, the infestation of snakes has increased a lot in various places, especially in grazing areas. Upazila Health Complex has stock of antivenom.
