12 members of sand lifting gang held while extracting sands from Padma tributary illegally in Ishwardi

Members of Rapid Action Battalion -RAB-12 conducted an operation in Bilkedar Dadapur area of Padma branch under Ishwardi police station and arrested 12 members of the illegal sand extraction gang and recovered from the arrested accused a Vecu machine used for illegal extraction of sand, three big drum trucks, two Small drum truck and cash Tk 15,000/- recovered.
The arrested are Md Jamirul Islam, son of deceased Tofazzal Hossain Pramanik of Bilkedar village, Rumon Hossain, son of Kamirul Prang, Badhan Hossain, son of Babul Malitha, Imran Malitha, son of Nannu Malitha of Ruppur, Faisal Hossain, son of deceased Fazlul Haque, Shubo, son of Abdus, deceased of Sahapur. Mohan Molla son of Khairul Molla of Ruppur Jigatla, Siam Hossain son of Liakat Ali of Alhaj Mor, Masum Ali son of Ibrahim of Nagdah School Para, Sagar son of Akbar of the same village and Ramzan Prang son of Alauddin of Pabna Sadar Mirzapur.
On Sunday morning, a case was filed against the arrested accused under Section 15 (1) of the Balu Mahal and Soil Management Act of 2010. This was revealed in the press release issued by RAB on Sunday and the information received from Ishwardi police station.
According to this, on the basis of secret information that some people are illegally extracting sand from the Padma branch river with veku machine in Dadapur area of Bilkedar under Ishwardi police station, RAB-12, CPC-2, Pabna company commander Major Md. Ehteshamul Haque Khan led the remote Charanchal Padma branch of Ishwardi.
The raid was conducted in Bilkeda Dadapur area of the river.
