Tk 14cr govt land recovered in Natore town after 35 years

The local administration has recovered 1.37 acres of government land, valued at approximately Tk 14 crore, in Natore town after 35 years of illegal occupation.
The land, situated adjacent to the Homeopathic College in the South Chowkipar area of the town, was retrieved on Monday (August 10) following directives from the Natore district administration. The property was under the illegal possession of a local individual, identified as Mohsin Ali, alias Sona.
Following the drive, red flags were planted along the boundary of the recovered land, and a billboard declaring ownership by the District Commissioner was installed at the site.
Natore Sadar UNO Md Azahar Ali, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Farhad Hossain, and Pourashava Land Assistant Officer Md Mahbubur Rahman were present during the operation, along with local officials and dignitaries.
According to the Assistant Commissioner (Land), the property—a pond listed under Government Khas Khatian No. 1 had remained illegally occupied for nearly 35 years.
