Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maqsud Kamal said, "Start-up studio" will be established in Dhaka University for new ideas for the development of the country's IT sector.

Being associated with this studio, the students will work for the welfare of the country and mankind through new innovations in IT and will contribute to enriching the information technology sector of the country.

He said this while addressing as the chief guest at the closing and prize distribution ceremony of the 5-day IT related Talent Heart 'IT Verse-2023' organized by Dhaka University Institute of Information Technology at the Student-Teacher Center Auditorium on Sunday.

Engineer Subrata Sarkar spoke as special guest. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal said that the country should be taken forward through basic research and innovation in all fields. It is the responsibility of teachers to give new ideas and encouragement to students. But in this case students should be most interested and aware. The Vice-Chancellor appealed to all concerned to conduct research activities while maintaining the quality of education and research.

In this IT verse competition, the teams of Dhaka University in 2 out of 7 segments, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology in 1, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in 1 and University of Asia Pacific in 1 became champions. 671 teams from 77 universities and institutions of the country participated in this IT varsity.
