Minister of Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain MP said, we want to build a humane Bangladesh with everyone. We want to live with people of all religions. Where there will be no violence and hatred. And there will be at least one playground in every union. Where children can play various sports. I want our next generation to be healthy and strong in sports. We will have football and volleyball competitions, which will be for boys and girls.

He made these remarks while delivering a speech as the chief guest while distributing bicycles from the minister's special allocation to poor students of various secondary educational institutions and donation checks from the Ministry of Social Welfare to local needy and meritorious students at the Nawabganj Upazila Indoor Stadium on Friday.

Later, in the 2025-26 fiscal year, he distributed free seedlings, vegetables, chillies, seeds and other materials to small and marginal farmers under the Union Level Fisheries Technology Service Expansion Project (Phase 3) sector, demonstration materials for indigenous small fish farming in ponds used for household purposes, and free agricultural incentive programs.

Present at the meeting, chaired by Upazila Executive Officer Bidhan Kanti Halder, were Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Haresh Uddin, Upazila Agriculture Officer Zahidul Islam Elias, Upazila BNP Acting President Tariqul Islam and Acting General Secretary Iqbal Hossain, Upazila Engineer Md. Hossain Ali, Upazila Fisheries Officer Abdur Razzak Mia, Nawabganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Quddus, District BNP Vice President Atiqur Rahman Raja, etc.
