Ameer of Islami Andolon Bangladesh, Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Pir Saheb Charmonai said that considering the long-term and multidimensional damage, drugs are the biggest problem in the country.

By the grace of Allah, Bangladesh could have been transformed into a developed country by using the demographic dividend that it received. For this, it was necessary to transform the population into manpower and export that surplus manpower and create employment in the country. But no previous government took such steps, but rather allowed drugs to destroy the surplus manpower.

As a result, our human resources have been idled, in some cases destroyed. Now the most important responsibility for the nation is to prevent drugs. And to prevent drugs, both the demand and supply sides must be eliminated. We can try to reduce the demand for drugs, but the state must take the responsibility of eliminating the supply line of drugs. I will tell Tarique Rahman's government that many of the country's charioteers and gurus are connected with the supply of drugs.

The Ameer of Islamic Movement Bangladesh made these remarks as the chief guest at the "Seminar and Discussion Meeting with the Commitment to Building a Drug-Free Society" organized by the people of Charmonai Union, Barishal, on July 17.

At the seminar, chaired by Maulana Syed Muhammad Ziaul Karim, Chairman of Charmonai Union Parishad, Pir Saheb Charmonai highlighted the dangers of drugs and expressed his commitment to a political, social and spiritual movement to make the entire country, including Charmonai Union, drug-free.

The seminar was addressed as special guests by the senior Nayeb-e-Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim, Shaykh Charmonai, the party's Assistant Secretary General Maulana Syed Ishaq Muhammad Abul Khair, BMP ADC (South) Mr. Muhammad Belal Hussain, and the OC of Kotwali Model Police Station of Barisal Al Mamun Ul Islam.
