State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj on Thursday stated that the nationwide school feeding (mid-day meal) program scheduled for government primary schools next year represents a crucial test for ensuring governance, transparency, and accountability alongside providing nutritional support to children.
Speaking as the chief guest at a training workshop titled "Accountability, Effective School Leadership, Team Coordination, and Active Participation of Local Communities" held at the Primary Training Institute (PTI) in Dhaka, the state minister stressed that strict monitoring will be enforced at every stage to prevent irregularities and ensure that each child receives quality meals.
State Minister Bobby Hajjaj emphasized that the success of primary education will no longer be measured by the construction of physical infrastructure alone, but by ensuring tangible learning outcomes for every enrolled child.
Chaired by Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) of Dhaka Division Md. Azmul Huq, the workshop was attended by Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Shahina Ferdousi, Director (Policy and Operations) Mir Abdul Awal Al Mehedi, Director (Training) Mahbuba Irene, and Deputy Director (Primary Education) for Dhaka Division Md. Abdul Aziz, alongside District Primary Education Officers, PTI Superintendents, and Upazila Primary Education Officers from across the division.
