Rally, discussion held in Kushtia on Plantation Campaign, Tree Fair

A colourful rally, discussion meeting, and inaugural ceremony were held in Kushtia on the occasion of the Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair-2026, under the theme "Let's Beautify the Country with Trees, Bangladesh First."
The programme was organised by the Kushtia District Administration at the District Commissioner's Office premises on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Officials from various government departments, members of law enforcement agencies, students, and representatives of different social and cultural organisations participated in the event.
The Superintendent of Police of Kushtia, Mohammad Jasim Uddin, PPM (Bar), attended the programme as the Special Guest. In his speech, he urged everyone to plant more trees to maintain ecological balance, combat the adverse effects of climate change, and build a greener Bangladesh. He also encouraged the public to ensure proper care and maintenance of the planted trees.
The Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Kushtia, Md. Touhid Bin-Hasan, attended the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted the importance of tree plantation in environmental conservation and stressed the need for collective efforts to protect the environment.
