MP Khairul Kabir Khokon inaugurates Tree Fair in Narsingdi

A seven-day tree plantation and tree fair has been inaugurated in Narsingdi. BNP Joint Secretary General and MP from Narsingdi 1 Sadar constituency Khairul Kabir Khokon inaugurated the fair as the chief guest at the District Shilpakala Academy premises on Monday.
17 stalls have been set up in the fair premises. The stalls are decorated with saplings of various types of trees including fruit, forest and medicinal plants.
Earlier, a discussion meeting was held at the Shilpakala Auditorium on the occasion of tree plantation and tree fair.
Under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Abu Taher Md. Shamsuzjan, Narsingdi Police Superintendent Abdullah Al Faruk, Divisional Forest Officer of Dhaka Social Forest Division Sharmin Akhter, Assistant Conservator of Forests of Narsingdi District Social Forest Division Puja Biswas, among others, spoke.
